My favorite car things

I don't normally clean out my car in the middle of winter because it is super cold even in the garage!

Along with doing my spring cleaning early it is also time to switch out car seats for my youngest. I will need to clean under the old car seats to switch things around any ways so I might as well deep clean the whole thing. For starters we have leather seats in our car and I love it, one thing I do to help protect them from kids is to put seat protectors under any car seat.

It has been a life saver for catching crumbs. We are definitely an eat in the car family.

I am taking out all the seats and washing the covers and deep cleaning the seats underneath them.

Then take out all the extra junk, and trash. If you put all the extra stuff away where it goes right away then you won't find it in your garage later lol. Just to throw that tip out there...

This hot cold bag has been so useful, it folds up small so we take it every where and have it whenever we need it.

Straps, we are always surprised at the random things we have to strap down.

An emergency kit that has things like a screwdriver, jumper cables, lug wrench, tow strap, flash light blanket, water, emergency food.i just keep all of mine in this old swag bag that we got from a conference a while ago. And I. Other cars we have pre made ones like these.

Baby wipes, sometimes I clean the whole front of the car with these while driving places. They are so handy for emergencies too like when we got a flat tire and had nasty hands when we were done. Boom bust out the baby wipes for easy clean up!

Emergency cash, there have been a few times where I needed gas and didn't have my purse so the emergency cash was a life saver, but just remember if you use it as soon as you get home or to the bank, or whatever replace it! This isn't extra shopping money, it is emergency money! Pretend it doesn't exist until it is an emergency and it is your last option. Even put it in a hard to access spot so that you are never tempted to grab it.

After everything is out then I vacuum it all out, wipe down the seats (probably with baby wipes) and maybe carpet clean.

Everything is all switched around now ready for my toddler. The front doesn't look all that different but the back is a night and day difference, ha. These tips have saved my car in many ways and helped me out in a pinch! I hope they can do the same for you!
