6 Ways to Organize your Pantry

The pantry, the junk food gathering area, the extra kitchen gadget storage, the mess hiding area. I am kinda scared to even show you this area it is not good. But I do have some really good systems in place to at least help me know where things are! Even when it is not pretty.

But first I'd you haven't printed your spring cleaning check list off yet go to my spring cleaning post here and print a free check list for yourself!

Now here is my panty

On par with me I started taking things out before I got my before pic. Oh well you get the point. And of course this guy was unloading about as fast as I was.

 1. My first and largest tip for keeping the pantry under control is to have a container for almost every food you keep in here!!

There are 2 different types of storage containers you can use the cheap DIY/ upcycled container like I use. Can you guess what it is?

If you guessed pickle jars then you are correct these are the tall narrow ones mostly. Thanks to my mom and aunt's for saving them for me 😍 ! I love me some good up-cycling and one day I want to paint all the tops white and maybe even add some cute vinyl. But for now they are functional at least!

The other type I will admit is prettier, it is custom containers that are new from the store. There are so many different amazing kinds and sizes. Spend some time figuring out the ones that fit just right in your space, and you will love them forever!

2. Baskets for the lose items like chip bags, and candy bars... I mean nutrition bars, lol no I don't give me all the candy.

3. This is a great area for storing the kitchen gadgets that you use often!

My main appliances are instant pot, rice cooker, crock pot, kitchen aid, and air fryer in the winter hot coco machine, and in the summer a salad spinner (which is still in my pantry because I never switched it out even though it is winter.)

4. Cereal containers- this holds about 2 boxes of cereal so there is less refilling and it makes it uniform. All my containers are Tupperware and mostly purchased 2nd hand or given to me. If they break Tupperware will replace it of free!!! As you can see mine are all miss matched lol

5. I really like these Gama lid buckets we were just introduced to them a few years ago and they are so great for sugar and flower that we use regularly. The best part is you will never break a finger nail again trying to pry it open! It just twists off and on easily.

6. Now that the tour is over and you have all the supplies you need, take everything out one shelf at a time!! To clean underneath and to rearrange. I know there is a lot. But by doing this you get a really good look at what you have. And it is easier to start filling containers and putting them where they go.

Here is my completed pantry, it is so much better I am not ashamed to show you any more 😉
