Easy Succulent Gift

Today is the last day of school and I am just now remembering that I haven't made teachers gifts yet!!! I know I am the worst! I truly do appreciate teachers and all that they do for my children, and I want to show them that. So off to my gift collection I went, but there wasn't anything that caught my eye, considering I didn't think they would want a Barbie, baby clothes or a star wars toy. Ha

With no luck in my gift stash I hopped on to Pinterest hoping there would be something easy I would be inspired to create.

My original idea a week ago was to make cute little teacher plaques, but since school is out in 2 hrs there isn't enough time for that!

I came a cross a post with plants in it and that got me thinking how I have a bunch of cute pots in my garage and come hen and chick succulents growing outside. Since succulents are all the rage because they are low maintenance and so dang cute, that was the prefect idea so I got to it!!

Here is a quick video of me putting these cute gifts together!

In case you want a step by step also here you go.

As you can see in the back ground I have put 3 together already. Don't they look so pretty?!

So here are the 3 mugs that I liked most and I even found a little blue pot! I like to use mugs because of the pretty colors and designs that I can always find them in, and I can often get them for 10 cents at thrift stores which is even better!

I put a little bit of dirt in the bottom.

and I pull off any dead leaves and trow them in the bottom of the pot to decompose #useeverything.

In goes my hens and chick plant.

Then lastly I pack in a bunch of fresh potting soil that I just got from Lowes.

There you have it way cute and practically free succulent gifts, that I will be giving awway as teachers gifts! (In 1.5 hrs now!)

We love our teachers! They work so hard and I can see the love and devotion that they have for their students.

If you are a teacher THANK YOU!!!

Final product, and I might even throw in some candy from my special stash.

let me know in the comments if you give your students teacher gifts, and if so let me know in the comments! Because you know I will need the ideas for next year... hahaha
